Summary: DeadlineVault is 100% offline. We collect no data. Your documents never leave your device.
Data Collection
We collect nothing. DeadlineVault does not:
- Send any data to servers
- Use analytics or tracking
- Include advertising SDKs
- Require an account or registration
- Access the internet for any functionality
Data Stored on Your Device
All data is stored locally on your device only:
- Documents: Scanned images and imported PDFs
- Extracted Text: OCR results from your documents
- Key Facts: Vendor names, amounts, dates you add
- Deadlines: Dates and reminder settings
- Settings: App preferences (lock enabled, notification settings)
Data Protection
Your data is protected by multiple layers:
- iOS File Protection: All files use NSFileProtectionComplete, accessible only when your device is unlocked
- App Lock: Optional Face ID/Touch ID protection
- Background Protection: Content is hidden in the app switcher
Encrypted Export
When you export documents as a Vaultpack (.vaultpack file):
- Files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM
- Your passphrase is used to derive the encryption key via PBKDF2
- Important: We never store your passphrase. If you forget it, encrypted exports cannot be recovered.
Notifications
Deadline reminders are scheduled locally using iOS Local Notifications. No data is sent to Apple's push notification servers.
Third-Party Services
DeadlineVault uses no third-party services. The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks.
Children's Privacy
DeadlineVault does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
